Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about PixToPDF.

PixToPDF supports all common image formats including JPEG, PNG, and HEIC. You can select photos directly from your photo library or capture new images with your camera.
PixToPDF offers four page sizes: A4, US Letter, US Legal, and 4x6 Photo. Each can be set to portrait or landscape orientation. You can also choose how images fit the page: Fill (cover entire page), Fit (maintain aspect ratio with letterboxing), or Stretch.
Yes. Tap the pencil icon on any photo in the grid to open the image editor. You can crop with aspect ratio presets (Free, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9), rotate up to 180 degrees, adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation, and apply artistic filters like Vivid, Dramatic, Mono, Noir, Sepia, Chrome, Fade, and Instant. All edits are non-destructive and can be changed at any time before generating the PDF.
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) scans each page of your PDF and recognizes any text in the images. It then embeds an invisible text layer into the PDF, making the text searchable in the Files app, Spotlight, and any PDF reader. The visual appearance of your PDF remains unchanged.
PixToPDF compresses PDFs by re-rendering each page as an optimized image at your chosen quality level (Low, Medium, or High compression). The app shows estimated savings before compressing and will only apply the compression if the result is actually smaller than the original. Note that compression converts pages to images, so selectable text, annotations, and vector graphics will not be preserved.
Currently, PixToPDF supports adding password protection to PDFs. To remove a password, you would need to use a PDF viewer that supports unlocking and re-saving the document.
You can add up to 50 photos per PDF. Each photo becomes one page in the final document. You can drag and drop photos in the grid to rearrange their order before generating the PDF.
No. All processing in PixToPDF happens entirely on your device. Your photos, PDFs, extracted text, and any other data never leave your iPhone. We do not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers.
